In Hamburg they say
Moin
hidden Gems of this city
There is even more to see
Everyone knows the Alster ...
… the Alster is of course also beautiful, but unfortunately often very crowded in most places.
If you like being outside and don’t like being in crowds of people shopping or jogging,
this might be the right place for you.
Unique areas of moor, dunes and water.
In Billwerder an der Bille and in the Boberger Niederung.
Dunes and moor
The Bille
Is a tributary of the Elbe and rises in the Hahnheide near Trittau and flows into the Lower Elbe in Hamburg.

Hamburg wants to build a new district in Billwerder with 7,000 apartments. When that happens, a lot will change here.

The focus here is on HafenCity. A district on the move. Anyone who is interested in architecture or futuristic buildings and is not put off by gigantic construction sites can enjoy themselves here in peace.
The Boberg Dunes are located in the east of Hamburg, near Bergedorf. About a bike tour from HafenCity via Entenwerder to the Boberger Niederung.
The Elbe is quite wide here.
It connects most of the beautiful corners.
But there are also magical places on the Bille and the numerous canals in this city that hardly anyone knows about.
