A futuristic district

Many construction projects have been completed since the foundation stone was laid in 2001 and HafenCity is slowly coming to life.

There is not much hustle and bustle yet. A few cafés and stores have now opened, but there are still some empty premises.
HafenCity is also worth a trip by bike. After work and at weekends, there is hardly any traffic on the wide roads. Most of the paths along the promenades have been completed and are ideal for walking and cycling.

THE Lose Park

Completed in 2016 and is the largest park in HafenCity. The HANNOVERSCHER BAHNHOF memorial is located here.
